Atlanta section’s own Dr. Thomas Mensah participated on 11 March 2016 in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) best-practices forum at Howard University. Additionally, women students from Spelman College demonstrated a robot they had built. The event was a fantastic opportunity to connect with woman, racial minorities, and others who may perceive engineering as a field friendly only to white men.
