AIAA Atlanta held the fifth annual Rocketry Summit Atlanta on Tuesday, February 3, 2026,  at Red Lobster restaurant, 2579 Cobb Pkwy in Smyrna, GA. Invited guests included student rocketeers representing teams from Georgia Tech, the Ramblin’ Rocket Club (GTXR),  Kennesaw State University and University of Georgia. AIAA Atlanta Section supports these student teams and invites Section Members and all interested parties to share your technical knowledge and fabrication skills and to help sponsor their exciting work. Also attending was Jorge Blanco, President of NAR Section 571 (Southern Area Rocketry) , a National Association of Rocketry chartered club in North Georgia, through which several of the students got started in rocketry.

GT Ramblin Rocket Club

Summary of our presentation:
The Ramblin’ Rocket Club (RRC) is the premier rocketry club at Georgia Tech. Established in 2012, the Ramblin’ Rocket Club has grown from a single project team of 10 members to 5 project teams(Georgia Tech Experimental Rocketry, Guidance Navigation & Control, High Altitude Balloons, Ramblin’ Competition Rocketry, and High-Power Rocketry) with 304 members. While RRC tackles a variety of objectives, each is mainly focused on the use of solid rocket propellant. The Ramblin’ Rocket Club emphasizes outreach, safety, and inclusion. We strive to share our achievements and drum up excitement with local K-12 schools to inspire the next generation to follow their passions.
