While jet planes are “sexier,” sometimes propellers are what you want. In this case, the aircraft can stay aloft more than 12 hours at just a few hundred feet above the surf. Aircraft designers take note: High and fast with a jet is what you want when you are trying to get somewhere, but low and slow with a propeller is what you want when you are looking for something.
