This event is an attempt by AIAA Atlanta Section to help elect Dr. Vigor Yang, Chair of Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Tech, to be AIAA President by recruiting AIAA Members at Delta Air Lines.

David Garrison and Dr. Vigor Yang invite you to join them at a Lunch & Learn Event co-sponsored by the Atlanta Section of AIAA. AIAA is an international technical society dedicated to the arts and sciences of the aerospace profession. AIAA is the world’s largest technical society dedicated to the global aerospace profession and has more than 30,000 members worldwide.
In addition to directing the aerospace programs at Georgia Tech, Dr. Yang is a Fellow in the AIAA and is running to be its President. AIAA Atlanta Council Members will discuss the benefits of choosing AIAA as your technical society as a way to keep informed of technology innovations, public policy issues and career advancement opportunities that may apply to Delta’s Engineering and MRO at TechOps.
If you want to support and vote for Dr. Yang in his campaign for President, you would first need to join AIAA. Voting for Dr. Yang must be done by close of the election on March 31, 2017.
Special presentations will be made by distinguished AIAA Members:
- Dimitri Mavris (Fellow)will speak about the NASA Environmentally Responsible Aviation (ERA) Project.
- Steve Justice (Associate Fellow)will speak about Supersonic Business Jets (SSBJ).
Something in these two currently active topics will surely catch your attention. Will Delta soon add SSBJ’s to its current fleet of Private Jets?
Free box lunch, i.e., deli sandwich, chips & can of soda, to first 100 attendees. Feel free to bring your favorite lunch items if you prefer that instead. Registration in advance at website aiaa-atlanta.org is required so that we can properly prepare accommodations for everyone.
